Tags allow you to classify data in your CRM. You can create different Tag Types to organise your tags, and then use Tag Fields to apply those tags to your data, across your CRM.

Viewing Tag Types
You can view the tag types set up for a specific data-type, add new tag types or manage the tags in existing ones within Tools & Settings in GoodCRM.
1. Choose Tools & Settings from the top-right menu
2. Navigate to Tags
3. Select the Tag type from the top-left switcher, for example, if you'd like to manage Organisation Types tags, select that here. Person Types tags will be selected by default.
4. The tags for this tag type are then listed
Adding a new Tag Type
You can organise your different tags in Tag Types. You can easily add new tag types as required.
1. Click on the Manage tag types button
2. Click on the Add tag type button
3. Enter a name for you new Tag Type
4. You'll now see your new, blank Tag Type, ready to start adding tags
Adding new Tags
To add new tags to a Tag Type, first navigate to the tag type in your CRM.
1. Start typing in the Add tags box, separate each tag with a comma
2. Click the Add button. The tags are added to the tags list
Setting colours for your Tags
You can set colours for tags. This can be useful to draw attention to important information.
1. Click on the colour swatch to the right of the tag to open the colour palette and choose your colour
Merging Tags
Sometimes you may end up with two tags which mean the same thing, in which case you may wish to merge your tags.
1. Select the tags you wish to merge
2. Click Merge Selected
3. Type the new name you wish to use for your tags and click OK
When you merge tags, anything tagged with the tags you've merged will now be tagged with the new tag.
To rename a Tag, use the Merging Tags process, but only select one tag.
Deleting Tags
You may delete tags, when you do, the data tagged with this tag will not be deleted, but will no longer be tagged with the deleted tag.
1. Select the Tag(s) you wish to delete
2. Click the Delete Selected button
