Creating a new campaign

You can create Fundraising campaigns to track your income in your CRM - whether this is from Individual Giving, Trusts & Foundations, or both!

Video transcript

To create a new fundraising campaign, head to your Fundraising dashboard in your CRM. You can view your current campaigns here, or click ‘Add campaign’.

Give your campaign a name, and set a target for your campaign.

Once you’ve created the campaign, you can link this to any of your programmes, projects or events in your CRM.

You can also enable custom fields for your campaigns - for example, adding a cost code to all donations for this campaign. New custom fields can be added in your Tools & Settings - check out our separate guide on Custom Fields and Forms to learn more.

Individual donations and grant funding can now be linked to your campaigns.

Configuring online donations widgets

Video transcript:

Once you’ve created a fundraising campaign, you can allow individuals to donate directly.

From the campaign page, click ‘Manage widget’ to set up an online donations widget for this campaign. You can add your online widget to your website, or add a direct payment link to your newsletter.

Select whether you’ll support one off, monthly, or both types of donations for this campaign.

You can set your suggested donation amounts for this campaign, although people will be able to enter a custom amount too. You can specify a minimum donation amount, for each campaign.

Select the forms you’d like to use for donors to this campaign. You can edit these forms separately, by following our guide on Forms and Fields.

Select whether to tag donors to this campaign, and choose which profile field to add these tags to.

We’ll automatically email donors to this campaign, and you can customise the ‘thank you’ message here.

Save these settings to create the widget. Now, you can edit how this widget will appear on your website.

We’ll use your CRMs default logo, however you can choose to use your external logo instead. Customise your donation widget, using your brand colour palette here.

Your donation campaign will now be ready to embed on your website, or you can share a link directly.

All that’s left is for your supporters to make their first donation!

Managing grant applications (Trusts & Foundations)

Video transcript

Grant applications and the funding you receive from trusts, foundations and other organisations can be tracked directly in your CRM, and linked to your fundraising campaigns.

Head to your Fundraising dashboard, and click on ‘Trusts and Foundations’ to view your grant application pipeline.

Your applications are grouped by status - you can change these to suit your organisation, in your Trust and Foundations settings.

You can also specify here which statuses are considered as ‘successful’ or ‘unsuccessful’ bids. If an application is successful, we’ll include that funding in your campaign totals for any linked campaigns.

Click the ‘plus’ icon to add a new application to the pipeline. This form contains some standard, default fields, but you can add more by following our guides on Custom Fields and Forms.

For each grant application, you can specify the funding allocation. This allows you to split the funding between multiple campaigns, or multiple dates, for example if you’re receiving funding over multiple years.

Save your application, to add it to the pipeline.

Your pipeline can be filtered, for example you might want to view only applications to a certain funder, or applications with a certain deadline date.
