You may notice from time to time, your CRM suggests to you that a particular person may belong to a particular organisation.

This article helps you to understand how this tool works and how you can take greater advantage of its time-saving abilities.

Where you'll see suggestions

You'll see people/organisation suggestions in three places:

1. On a person's profile

You can use the links to accept the suggestion or view all suggestions

2. On an organisation's profile

You can use the links to accept the suggestion or view all suggestions

3. In the Suggestions tool

You can accept individual matches or accept all matches

When suggestions are made

Suggestions will be made in the following circumstances:

  • The person's email domain matches the organisation's email domain

  • The person and organisation are not connected via the Organisation field

  • The email is not a generic domain (such as gmail.com) or a government domain

We exclude .gov and .gov.uk domains as multiple local organisations often use a council's email address leading to false matches.
