This guidance applies to Version 2 of our Tickets feature. The features described may not be available for all users.

GoodCRM Tickets are sold via Ticket Listings.

Ticket Listings can be private or public. They can be shared via a direct link to the listing, or users can access public listings from your ticket portal home page.

Listing Types

There are different listing types available to suit the type of event you're running, or the pricing options you need to offer.

  • Single Event

A ticket for a single event. The most popular listing format. Ideal for one-off workshops, fundraising events or private views.

  • Multi-Day Event

For events spanning multiple days or sessions, buyers choose which to attend. The price depends on how many events they select. Perfect for camps, conferences or flexible attendance events.

  • Series Pass

One ticket grants access to a future events in a series. The price is fixed. Great for regular meet-ups, clubs or workshop series.

  • Package

A single ticket type for curated group of events. The price is fixed. Ideal for themed event bundles, conference tracks or festival programme highlights.

  • BYO Package

A package ticket curated by the buyer from a selection of events. The price is fixed. Ideal to let attendees customise their experience. E.g. "Pick any 5 sessions from 10 available".

Create a Ticket Listing

To add a new listing, navigate to the Ticket Listings section on the top menu of your CRM and click Add Listing.

1. Select the Type of Listing.

Choose the type of listing you'd like to create. If you're not sure which type to choose, see the 'Listing Types' section above.

The options for ticket listing types.

2. Selecting Events

For listings containing multiple events, choose how you will determine which events are sold in this listing.

  • Selected Events: Manually select the events to add to your listing.

  • Single Project: Select one of your GoodCRM projects to add all events in the project to that listing.

  • Segment: Select one of your GoodCRM Events segments to add all events in the segment to that listing.

The three event source options in the CRM.

Choose the project, segment or events to include, then click Continue.

Set the default capacity for the events you're adding to this listing.

If an event exists in another listing already, and has a capacity set there, we'll use that existing capacity instead.

You can manually change event capacities using the Capacities tab when viewing a listing.

3. Add Information to your Listing

You can customise your listing and the information that appears in your ticket portal. You can set:

  • A listing name

  • A public listing description (note: your Events can contain their own descriptions, which will appear under the event in your listing)

  • A listing image

  • Additional text which will appear in the email confirmation when someone purchases a ticket from this listing

  • Global 'on sale from' and 'to' dates for this listing (note: individual events will be available to purchase until the day of the event). Tick 'Hide ended events' to hide events with a past date.

You can also determine whether this listing is private.

CRM users with multiple ticket portals can determine which portal to display this ticket in here.

4. Add Ticket Groups

Now you've created the listing, you'll need to add ticket groups and ticket types.

Select Tickets from the top menu on your listing page.

Click Add Ticket Group. Set a name, and set the maximum quantity of tickets to sell in this group.

If you have set up multiple ticket groups for an individual event listing, then the total tickets sold across all groups won't exceed the total capacity of the event.

(For example, if ticket groups A and B each have 10 tickets available, but the total capacity of the event is 15, only 15 tickets in total will be sold).

Optionally, add 'on sale from' and 'to' dates for this group. You can also add a promo code, which users must enter in order to see this group.

5. Add Ticket Types to Groups

Each ticket group can have multiple ticket types within it, allowing you to offer different price options within your group.

Set a ticket type name, and a capacity. If left blank, the capacity will default to the same capacity as set for your group.

Set a net price for your ticket, and select to add VAT if applicable. Enable 'pay what you can' to allow users to enter their own price.

Optionally, set a mandatory Person form and/or Record form to be completed when purchasing this ticket. If a person form is not specified, individual tickets will not be assigned to individual people (eg. 1 person may purchase 3 tickets for unnamed people, and only the logged in user will be added to your participant list).

Record forms will be completed anonymously and not linked to the purchaser's profile.

Once you've added at least one group and one ticket type, tickets will be available to purchase in your portal.

Share your listing

Your audience can find public listings from the main page of the public tickets portal, or you can use the direct sharing links provided on the listing details page.

Add New Events to an Existing Listing

If you need to add more events to a listing you've already created, click the Add Events button on your listing details page.

If you originally created this listing from a segment or project, you can choose to update the listing to include any new events in that segment/project.

Otherwise, manually select the events to add them to your listing.

After adding new events, be sure to set a capacity using the Capacities tab.
